How much do sessions cost?

Sessions are £15 and there are no long term commitments!

Do you offer a discount for siblings?

Siblings of existing Rock Now Students receive a 10% discount.

I am a complete beginner and have never played before, can I join Rock Now?

Absolutely! In fact, most of our past students have been beginners and have never played music before. There is no need to feel shy or nervous - we are here to help and remember learning music is meant to be fun!

What instruments do you teach?

We currently teach guitar, bass and drums.

Do I need to bring my own instrument?

All instruments are provided by Rock Now Music Academy, however, if you have your own guitar you are more than welcome to bring it along.

What ages do you teach?

We currently teach 8-17 year olds.

My child has been attending Rock Now Music Academy and would like to purchase their own instrument to practise at home. Can you help with sourcing these?

Practising outside of lessons is a sure fire way to improve your musical abilities and we recommend this after a while of attending the academy. We can of course help with sourcing the right instrument, as we know it can be daunting finding the right one with so many options on the market.

Is there parking?

There is plenty of free parking at Rock Now Music Academy, located at Brentwood County High School.

Where and when do your sessions take place?

Our sessions take place on Saturday mornings at Brentwood County High School. Our sessions are at the following times:

9.00am - 10.00am

10.00am - 11.00am

11.00am - 12.00pm

Do you teach one to one lessons?

We teach one to one lessons from home or at your desired location. Please contact us for more information. We can also offer support and help free of charge outside of lessons.

What will my child learn in the sessions?

Our sessions are a fun way of teaching music and all students will learn music theory and technique through teaching popular songs, in a friendly band setting. We are not school and the focus is making music fun, playing together, rather than from a textbook.

What does my child need to bring to lessons?

Children should come with the folder we provide, with their music material, a bottle of water and an open mind.

How do I know my child is safe whilst visiting the academy?

All our tutors are DBS checked and have lots of experience working with young people. If your child has a medical condition or allergies that may require special attention, please let us know before a session.

What can I do to support my child's learning?

Having supportive parents is key to improving in music. We suggest:

  • You encourage practising at home.

  • Listen to different genres of music with your child.

  • That you come along to the Summer and Winter concerts and cheer loudly!
